Best credit card for people who don’t like to pay fees ever: Citi Simplicity®

Citi Simplicity® Card
Citi Simplicity® Card
No Late Fees, No Penalty Rate, and No Annual Fee… Ever.

Why it’s best

It happens to the best of us. Life gets hectic and next thing you know, you’re a few days past due on your credit card payment. Most cards will ding you with a $39 late payment fee or higher. The Citi Simplicity is willing to forgive these slip-ups by not charging a late fee. Ever. And there’s no annual fee either.

This card happens to have the longest interest-free time period on our top 8 list for paying back balance transfers. But a higher transfer rate of 5% means it missed our recommendation is the best balance transfer card. It’s still pretty good for paying off balances – it offers an introductory 12-month (from when the account opened) 0% APR period for purchases and a whopping 21-month 0% APR on balance transfers.

Bonus Points

  • No fees (no annual fees, no late fees)
  • 0% APR for 21 months on balance transfers
